Jozi Grant 1098Our little family of two grew to a little family of three on October 30th, 2014. With the arrival of our son, Owen Benjamin, our hearts grew a few sizes. We are proud parents.

Unfortunately, our little guy had unexpected complications at birth. His perfect 7lb 9.34oz body suffered a lack of oxygen, causing irreparable damage to his brain. After 5 beautiful days, we knew we needed to set Owen’s spirit free. In the arms of his mummy and daddy, under a big strong oak tree in the Vancouver rain, Owen set off on his journey.

We are now trying to navigate this new path we are on as a family. Together, we are learning how life can still carry on after the unexpected. It isn’t easy, but we are trying. Stumble through it with us.

While Owen is not physically with us, he will always be carried in our hearts. We can feel our son with us in everything that we do.

One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes.
